Langtang trek lies at the Langtang National Park the home of the Tamang people. This tour provides a breath taking views of the Langtang valley, the Tibetan resettlement and the cheese factory which is under Swiss Aid Progromme upto an altitude of 13,000 feet. The trek starts with a drive from the north west of Kathmandu to the mountain village of Dunche. Dunche is the major area of Langtang where the trek ends bust some times in Syabrubesi. The trekkers who has a less time to Nepal is worthy to visit here avoiding the crowds of the Annapurna and the Everest region. Langtang is a narrow valley situated between the north border of Tibet and the lower range of the snowy peaks to the south. Following the narrow gorge we go the Langtang river then we climb the large alpine grassland of Kyangin Gompa where the glacier meets the meadow. The trek to Langtang area offers the opportunity to explore villages, small peaks, glaciers at a comfortably low elevation and can watch the closet view of Langtang Lirung (7,246m), Gang Chhenpo (6,388m), Naya Kang Ri (5,846m) and the Dorje Lakpa (6,966m) and other unnamed mountains around you.
